Genealogy Tip of the Day!
All Inmates are Not In Jail

Inmate can mean resident or patient. A reference from the 1890s refers to the widow of the veteran as an inmate of St. Mary’s Infirmary in St. Louis. Do not conclude that inmate means prisoner–that’s not always how it was intended.

Airrington Genealogy is a fee based service.  That is we charge for the services we provide.  However we do offer many services for free and we provide ongoing research for families and individuals for free or at considerably reduced rate.  Our expenses continue even if we give our services away.

You might be an individual that May have received our services and you would like to donate above our low rates.  Many people have done this and we thank you so much.  This helps keep our services available and we are able to offer them to people that arent able to pay immediately.

There are three ways that you can support us.

The first way is with a financial gift.  Your gift of $5.00 $10.00 $25.00 $100.00 $1000.00 or more goes immediately to purchase more research material documentation and other support material to help other families find their roots.  (See our Testimony page).

The second way you could help us is with your donation of research material or your family tree (GEDCOM).    If you have Genealogy material; books magazines CD s movies microfilms etc. that you are no longer using or if it has entering to the public domain (please be sure and check this before you send any material to us) and you are able to share a copy.   If you have a digital copy…you can upload or email it to us.  If you have a printed material contact us for a mailing address and we will pay the postage!

Thank you for donating research material. Before uploading make sure that YOU OWN the rights and that you are not sending copyrighted material. Send pdf Books, Images, etc. Send one document at a time in order to not overload our servers. Please contact us if you are having difficulty. Thank you so much.

Some of this information we actually make available online.

Your Family Tree (GEDCOM) is a value piece of information) especially if complete with photos death certificates etc.  You can upload the (GEDCOM) to us and zip all the media files and email them or mail us the disk with the media.  Many times families are interconnected…and by having this information it saves us valuable research time and expense enabling us to offer FREE research to families.  We recognize the right to privacy of individuals that May be living and if your (GEDCOM) contains this information it will NEVER be provided to our clients.  Instead we will contact you and let you know that the is a possible family connection and we will act as the liaison maintaining the privacy of both parties until a reasonable amount of certainty that a family connection exists and then contact is usually made via telephone/email first.

Upload your GEDCOM File here. If your software does not support GEDCOM then please contact us.
